STUFF FOR SALE!
I have a "spare" Clifford 4V intake for an AMC six. It's made for a 258
but has been modified to fit a 91+ 4.0L H.O. head. It's also had a water
heating tube added to improve economy and cold weather driving. The tube
can easily be removed if desired. Comes with the 4V adapter plate. A 2V
adapter can easily be made. I want $75 for it, plus whatever actual
shipping costs are. Of course I can bring it to one of the meets this
summer.
I also have a good used NAPA "Econo-Power" cam for a 258. It didn't work
as well as I hoped in my 4.6L EFI engine, should work much better in a
carbureted 258. Don't have all the specs right off, but I do remember
the advertised duration is 280° and lift is around 0.445". From idle to
about 2500 rpm it feels just about like a stock cam, but really wakes up
over 2500 rpm! It will pull hard all the way to 5500 rpm. Would be great
for a street/strip car, good economy under 2500 rpm, tach it up on the
strip! Pair with the Clifford 4V intake and a 450-500 cfm carb (470 cfm
Holley Truck Avenger would be nice) for a real nice combo! $75 -- new
Comp Cams are $149+.
